In the wake of reports about a sharp increase of sex offenses reported at public universities, Associate Executive Director of Programs Abigail Boyer spoke with “The Washington Post” to dispel the myth that more reported crime means a more dangerous campus. “When [reporting[ systems are put in place, you’ll see more people coming forward and reporting because they’re confident in the response from the institution,” she said.
